How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Termly account directly from the mobile app:

  1. Open the Termly app on your Android or iOS device
  2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon)
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account information (email, profile)
  • All terminal sessions and session history
  • End-to-end encryption keys
  • Device pairing data
  • All preferences and settings
  • Authentication tokens and refresh tokens

Important Notes

⚠️ This action is immediate and irreversible

Once you delete your account, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

  • Deletion happens immediately - no data retention period
  • You will be signed out automatically from all devices
  • All active CLI sessions will be disconnected
  • No backups or copies of your data will be retained

Alternative: Temporarily Disconnect Sessions

If you just want to stop using Termly temporarily, you don't need to delete your account. You can simply:

  • Sign out from the mobile app
  • Stop the Termly CLI on your development machine
  • Your sessions and data will remain available when you return

Privacy & Data Protection

Termly uses a zero-knowledge encryption architecture. We do not have access to your terminal content or code. When you delete your account, all metadata and encrypted data associated with your account is permanently removed. For more information, see our Privacy Policy and Security Whitepaper.
